The imprint
Loreon Press is an imprint of Synapti AS (org. nr. 934 968 514), a company registered in Oslo, Norway. It is the publisher-of-record for its titles — the name that appears on the copyright page, in retailer and library metadata, and on the ISBN record.
What we publish
Long-form fiction — novels and series. Books with the scale, the research, and the patience the form deserves. It is a deliberately small list: we would rather publish a few books carefully than many books quickly.
How our books are made
We do not have a single house method, and we will not pretend to. Some of our books are drafted with the help of large language models, under an author's direction. Some are not. What is constant is that we tell you which — on the book's own page here, on its copyright page, and in its back matter.
You should never have to discover how a book was made. You should be told, by us, before you buy it.
Our first title, Strata, was drafted with AI. Daniel Bentes writes about that on the book's page, and at greater length in the book itself.
The writing system is a separate product — the Epic Fiction Framework, at loreon.ink. The tool and the press share a name and a lineage. They are not the same thing: one makes books possible, the other decides which books are worth making.
